VCHOS began with a dream — and a lot of heart.

In her early 20s, Wendy left El Salvador and came to Los Angeles, carrying with her the flavors, spirit, and stories of home.

At just 25 years old, she and her partner opened VCHOS — a small food truck fueled by big dreams and the hustle that defines this city.

It all started with one food truck and a dream.

Our name, VCHOS (pronounced “V-Chos”), is a nod to Salvadoran slang for “the kids” — because when we started, that’s exactly who we were: young, hungry, and ready to work for something bigger.

Back then, pupusas weren’t as popular as they are today.

We made it our mission to change that — bringing Salvadoran flavors to new communities, and introducing pupusas to people who had never tasted them before.

Every time someone asked, “What’s a pupusa?” we answered with a smile — and a fresh, hot pupusa made with corazón.

Today, 15 years later, we’re proud to still carry that mission forward.

From a single truck to multiple locations, from late nights to long lines, VCHOS has grown up — but our spirit hasn’t changed.
